Chuks, a rare breed ….
….. and a gentleman. A man of and for all seasons.
In school and in class, loudly silent making haste slowly. He wasn’t one to miss class or engage in riotousness.
He was always to be found with a smiling face, smiles that radiated from within and clothed you as a friend.
Chuks was a gentleman par excellence. He was everyone's friend. Everything about him had a speciality to it. His voice could never be mistaken for another. His native tongue was spoken with an air. His speech was also delivered with smiles and pleasant laughter.
Nothing about Chuks was excessive. He was always to be found in the right place at the right time. He had and gave of himself willingly. He would not hear of any one in dire straits without offering whatever he could. He would give time, effort and financial assistance without being required.
We have lost a good man, a contented man. A brother, friend, sounding board, the list goes on as he was a lot to many.
Ours is to wonder why. But in our despair, we remain steadfast in our belief that he is with his Maker.
May The Good Lord grant him rest.
